Defining the application with the WebClient Application Assembler

With the WebClient Application Assembler, you create a WebClient project file (.wcp file), a definition of the latest version of an application. After building the project file, you generate a set of deployment files for this latest version. These generated deployment files are placed in a version-specific directory under an output directory that you specify.

You use the WebClient Application Assembler to perform the following tasks:

To run the WebClient Application Assembler:

  1. Choose Tools PRO*Tools. Alternatively, execute the file OpenEdge-Install-Directory\bin\prowcappmgr.exe. The PRO*Tools menu bar opens.
  2. From the menu bar, choose WebClient Application Assembler( ).
  3. The WebClient Application Assembler window opens:
